Service desk address disclosure via GraphQL authorization bypass
Published Apr 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper access control in GitLab allows remote authenticated users to retrieve a project's service desk email address via GraphQL. The project serviceDeskAddress field returns the address without enforcing the documented minimum Reporter membership, including any custom secret suffix. GitLab versions 12.4 through 14.5.3, 14.6 through 14.6.3, and 14.7.0 are affected; disclosure enables issue spam or project vandalism.
