Privilege escalation in QEMU virtiofsd before 6.2.0-7 allows local users to gain elevated group access through a shared directory. passthrough_ll.c changes process UIDs and GIDs for guest requests without first clearing virtiofsd's supplementary root-group membership. Exploitation requires an SGID shared directory writable by a nonmember, who can create and execute an SGID file to obtain that group's access.
