Reflected XSS via unescaped redirect-page attribute
Published Mar 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in WPBrigade LoginPress before 1.5.12 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The LoginPress opt-in page writes the redirect-page query value into an HTML attribute without escaping, so crafted quotes introduce event-handler markup. A victim must open the crafted wp-admin URL while authenticated; the injected script can read or alter data available to that administrative page.
