Missing authorization in Better Notifications for WP before 1.8.7 allows remote authenticated users to disclose user email addresses via AJAX. The bnfw_search_users AJAX action omits authorization and CSRF checks, allowing incremental prefix queries that recover users' email addresses. WordPress authentication is required; the observable consequence is confidentiality loss of email data without reported integrity or availability impact.
