CVE-2022-0331Network attack vector

Unauthenticated device serial-number disclosure via Webadmin

Published Mar 29, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Information disclosure in Webadmin in Sophos Firewall 18.5 MR2 and earlier allows remote attackers to read the device serial number without authentication. Sophos has not published the Webadmin request path or faulty operation that returns the serial number before authentication. The Webadmin console is reachable on the LAN by default; WAN exposure requires an administrator to enable access from that zone.
