Unauthenticated file read via template path inclusion
Published Feb 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Local file inclusion in Essential Addons for Elementor before 5.0.5 allows remote attackers to read server files via crafted template data. The ajax_load_more and ajax_eael_product_gallery handlers build a path from request-controlled template_info name and file_name values and pass it to PHP include without constraining it to the template directory. Exploitation requires a page using an affected gallery or load-more widget so its nonce is exposed; included uploaded PHP can execute as the web server process.
