Menu deletion via nonce-free admin request
Published Feb 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Wow-Company Float Menu before 4.3.1 allows remote attackers to delete menus through a forged admin request. The WordPress admin route at admin.php?page=float-menu accepts info=delete and did without validating a CSRF nonce before deleting the selected menu. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to follow the attacker's crafted URL, and the bounded consequence is deletion of plugin menu data.
