Heap buffer overflow in PDFium in Google Chrome before 97.0.4692.99 allows remote attackers to corrupt heap via crafted HTML pages. The chrome_pdf::PDFiumEngine::RequestThumbnail routine processes attacker-controlled page data without sufficient bounds protection, enabling an out-of-bounds write during thumbnail generation. Exploitation requires a user to load the crafted page and can compromise the browser plugin process; the published record does not establish attacks in the wild.
