User data disclosure via unrestricted author search
Published Jan 20, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Improper access control in Microweber before 1.2.11 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' sensitive information. The users/search_authors endpoint was registered with api_expose, making its author-search response available without the administrator-only gate added by the patch. Any authenticated non-administrator account can reach the endpoint; the documented consequence is disclosure of other users' sensitive information.
