CVE-2022-0263Public exploit

Stored script execution via unsafe SVG upload

Published Jan 18, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Unrestricted file upload in Pimcore before 10.2.7 allows local users to execute script in an SVG logo through administration settings. The uploadCustomLogoAction function stores SVG content without blocking embedded script elements, so a crafted logo can carry browser-executed JavaScript when rendered. Access requires a low-privileged authenticated administration session, and the demonstrated impact is stored cross-site scripting rather than server-side code execution.
