Stored XSS via unescaped custom-report metadata
Published Jan 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Stored XSS in Pimcore 10.2.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. CustomReportController returns saved report names and CSS-class fields without HTML encoding, while the editor accepts arbitrary characters in those values. An attacker needs report-configuration access and a permitted user to view the poisoned interface; execution can read or alter data available to that browser session.
