Administrator SQL injection via unsanitized sort parameters
Published Mar 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Highfivery Zero Spam for WordPress before 5.2.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute SQL through admin requests. Its admin table classes pass request-controlled order and orderby values into DB::query, which concatenates them into an ORDER BY clause without SQL-safe validation. Administrator access and at least one blocked-IP record are required; the published proof demonstrates a time-based database response oracle.
