CVE-2022-0246Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Admin file deletion via Zip Slip

Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Arbitrary file deletion in Webence iQ Block Country before 1.2.13 allows remote authenticated administrators to delete server files via crafted ZIP uploads. During settings import, each ZIP entry name is checked only for existence and an existing path is deleted without authorization or path sanitization, enabling traversal outside the upload directory. The attacker must have administrator-level WordPress access and reach the Import/Export function; impact is integrity loss through deletion of selected server files, with no demonstrated confidentiality or availability effect.
