Script execution via unescaped debug-page query parameters
Published Feb 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Maciej Bis Permalink Manager Lite and Pro before 2.2.15 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted URL. The debug page writes unsanitized and unescaped query parameters into HTML; the proof of concept injects an image element through p while enabling the page with debug_url=1. A user must follow the crafted URL, after which the script runs in that user's browser in the affected site's security context.
