Unauthorized configuration changes via missing CSRF tokens
Published Jan 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
CSRF in Phoromatic in Phoronix Media Phoronix Test Suite before 10.8 allows remote attackers to alter server-side settings. Several Phoromatic handlers accept state-changing URL or form parameters without verifying a per-session submission token, including suite deletion, schedule activation, and group-name updates. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator's browser to submit a crafted request, and resulting changes are limited by that victim's Phoromatic privileges.
