Administrator-context script execution via unescaped search parameter
Published Feb 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in Complianz GDPR/CCPA Cookie Consent before 6.0.0 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted admin-page URL. The proof-of-consent administration page writes the s query parameter into an HTML attribute without context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open the crafted URL, after which the script runs in that administrator's browser context.
