Reflected script execution via unescaped AJAX id
Published Feb 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
Reflected XSS in RebelCode WP RSS Aggregator before 4.20 allows remote attackers to execute script in an authenticated user's browser. The wprss_fetch_items_row_action AJAX handler returns the id POST parameter without sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Exploitation requires an authenticated WordPress user to submit an attacker-controlled cross-site form, enabling script execution in that user's browser context.
