Database data disclosure via unescaped AJAX parameter
Published Mar 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024
SQL injection in Photo Gallery by 10Web before 1.6.0 allows remote attackers to read WordPress database data through a public AJAX action. The bwg_frontend_data handler inserts the unvalidated and unescaped bwg_tag_id_bwg_thumbnails_0 parameter into an SQL statement. No authentication is required; a crafted request can run arbitrary database queries and disclose stored account data.
