CVE-2022-0141Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Admin entry deletion via missing nonce checks

Published Apr 12, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Cross-Site Request Forgery in Visual Form Builder before 3.0.8 allows remote attackers to alter form entries through crafted requests. The WordPress admin entry handlers for trash, permanent delete, and restore do not validate a nonce, so requests forged from an attacker-controlled page execute with the logged-in session. A logged-in administrator or editor must load the crafted request; successful attacks can delete, permanently remove, or restore arbitrary entries, affecting form-data integrity and availability.
