CVE-2022-0121Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Script execution via unsandboxed response preview

Published Jan 6, 2022 · Updated Aug 2, 2024

Cross-site scripting in Hoppscotch before 2.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script when a user previews a crafted HTML response. HTMLLensRenderer.vue writes the HTML response into a preview iframe that lacks a sandbox, allowing embedded active content to run with the application origin. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and user interaction; executed script can read or modify data available to that origin.
