Interpretation conflict in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS and Prisma Access allows remote authenticated users to bypass URL filtering. Custom URL categories and external dynamic lists treat an unterminated hostname or trailing-asterisk pattern as a raw URL prefix, so a crafted longer hostname matches the exception. The issue is reachable only when such exceptions are used in a URL Filtering profile or security policy, and it can permit access to sites that the policy was intended to block.
