CVE-2021-47972Public exploit

Application crash via oversized note input

Published May 16, 2026 · Updated May 16, 2026

Denial of service in Hive 5 Studio DOO Sticky Notes & Color Widgets 1.4.2 allows local users to crash the app with oversized notes. The note editor processes 350,000 repeated characters pasted twice without bounding the input length, causing the application to stop responding. Exploitation requires interactive access to create a note and paste the generated payload, and the demonstrated consequence is limited to an application crash.
