Stored JavaScript execution via unfiltered long_description
Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Podcast Generator before 3.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in viewers' browsers. Episode creation and editing requests accept the long_description parameter without filtering, persist its script content, and render it from the episode's More view. An account with administrative episode-editing access must store the payload, and another user must open the affected episode details for execution in the application's origin.
