Stored script execution via unsanitized profile fields
Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Savsoft Quiz 5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in other users' browsers. The edit_user endpoint stores HTML and JavaScript supplied in account-profile fields and later renders those values without effective output neutralization. A valid account is required to submit a payload, and execution occurs when another user views the affected profile, exposing that browser session's data and actions.
