Stored XSS via unsanitized Bar Message input
Published May 16, 2026 · Updated May 16, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Rich Plugins Cookie Law Bar 1.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. The plugin stores the clb_bar_msg value from the settings page without sanitizing it and later renders the value into site pages without output escaping. An authenticated WordPress user with settings access can persist a payload that runs for visitors, exposing browser-accessible cookies and page data.
