Authenticated command execution via module parameter injection
Published May 10, 2026 · Updated May 10, 2026
Code injection in Evolution CMS 3.1.6 allows remote authenticated users with module creation permission to execute system commands. The module-save action at /manager/index.php stores attacker-supplied PHP from the post parameter as executable module code without restricting dangerous constructs. An account authorized to create modules is required, and invoking the saved module runs commands with the web server process's privileges.
