Database compromise via unvalidated video identifier
Published Feb 1, 2026 · Updated Feb 1, 2026
SQL injection in PHP Melody 3.0's video edit module allows remote authenticated users to read or alter database data through a crafted vid parameter. The edit-video.php handler incorporates the unvalidated vid value into a database query, allowing attacker-controlled SQL syntax to reach the database. Administrator or editor permissions are required, and successful exploitation exposes database confidentiality and integrity.
