Local privilege escalation via unquoted OkiJaSvc path
Published Jan 21, 2026 · Updated Jan 21, 2026
Unquoted service path handling in OKI Print Job Accounting 4.4.10 allows local users to execute code with elevated privileges. The OkiJaSvc service registers its LocalSystem binary as C:\Program Files\Okidata\Print Job Accounting\oklogsvc.exe without surrounding quotes, so Windows can resolve an attacker-placed executable earlier in the spaced path. Exploitation requires low-privileged local access and write access to a searched parent directory, with code running when the automatically started service launches.
