Application crash via crafted result file

Stack-based buffer overflow in Data Device Corporation dataSIMS 4.5.3 allows local users to cause a crash via a crafted result file. The ARINC 664-1 module reads an overlong milstd1553result.txt file into a fixed-size stack buffer, overwriting the saved return address and giving control of EIP. An operator must load the file; the public proof of concept demonstrates a crash and instruction-pointer control, not code execution.
