CVE-2021-47878Public exploit

LocalSystem code execution via unquoted service path

Published Jan 21, 2026 · Updated Jan 21, 2026

Local privilege escalation in Luidia eBeam Education Suite 2.5.0.9 allows local users to execute code as LocalSystem on Windows. The eBeam Device Service ImagePath is registered as C:\Program Files (x86)\Luidia\eBeam Device Service\eBeamDeviceServiceMain.exe without enclosing quotes, so Windows can resolve and run an earlier path component. Exploitation requires write access to a resolved parent path and execution during service startup or system reboot, after which the planted binary inherits LocalSystem privileges.
