Administrator session script execution via stored Notes
Published Jan 21, 2026 · Updated Jan 21, 2026
Stored XSS in LiteSpeed Technologies OpenLiteSpeed 1.7.9 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in an administrator's browser. The WebAdmin listener editor stores the Notes value submitted to /view/confMgr.php and later renders it without neutralizing script markup when the Default icon is opened. Administrator access is required to save the payload, and an administrator must click the icon; the script then runs with that browser session's access.
