Persistent XSS in Freeter 1.2.1 allows attackers to execute code by supplying a crafted file or malicious custom widget title. The desktop client inserts attacker-controlled widget titles and file content into its DOM without neutralizing HTML event handlers, exposing Node process-execution primitives. Execution requires a victim to open the crafted file and move the pointer or click, after which commands run with the victim's desktop privileges.
