Guest-to-server command execution via profile file upload
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in ProjeQtOr 9.1.4 allows remote authenticated users with guest access to execute arbitrary server commands. The profile attachment handler at tool/saveAttachment.php accepts a mixed-case PHP payload and stores it beneath files/attach, where the web server interprets the uploaded script. A guest session is sufficient; requesting the attachment URL runs commands with the web server process's privileges.
