Unauthenticated SQL injection via login_user parameter
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
SQL injection in Vianeos OctoPUS allows remote attackers to extract database information through crafted authentication requests. The login_user POST value is incorporated into a database query without neutralizing SQL syntax, allowing a nested MySQL SLEEP expression to create a time-based inference oracle. No credentials or user interaction are required; the published proof of concept demonstrates indirect disclosure through response timing rather than direct database output.
