Authenticated command execution via FTP password injection

Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026

OS command injection in ZesleCP 3.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through FTP account creation. The /core/ftp endpoint incorporates the ftp_password JSON value into an OS command without neutralizing shell metacharacters. Valid panel credentials are required; a crafted password can launch a reverse shell and grant control of the hosting server.
