Database read or modification via eidValue injection
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
SQL injection in RIB BuildSmart 21.0817 allows remote attackers to read or modify database data through the login validation endpoint. The endpoint incorporates the unauthenticated eidValue POST parameter into a Microsoft SQL Server statement without neutralizing SQL syntax, permitting stacked queries. No account or user interaction is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates control of query execution through a three-second server-side delay.
