Unauthenticated SSRF via unchecked baseUrl parameters
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
Server-side request forgery in Umbraco CMS 8.14.1 allows remote attackers to make the server request attacker-chosen hosts. The GetContextHelpForPage, GetRemoteDashboardContent, and GetRemoteDashboardCss endpoints accept a baseUrl parameter and use it as the destination for outbound requests without restricting the target host. No authentication or user interaction is required; a crafted HTTP request originates from the CMS server's network position.
