Authenticated code execution via malicious backup archive
Published Jan 15, 2026 · Updated Jan 15, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Sanskruti Technologies Chikitsa 2.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute server commands. The restore_backup endpoint accepts a modified backup ZIP and extracts an embedded PHP shell into the web-accessible uploads/restore_backup/uploads/media path without rejecting dangerous file types. Valid application credentials are required; once restored, the shell accepts HTTP command parameters and runs them with the web server process's privileges.
