Authenticated command execution via unchecked POST parameters
Published Dec 31, 2025 · Updated Dec 31, 2025
OS command injection in meterN 1.2.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands through its web interface. The admin_meter2.php and admin_indicator2.php handlers pass COMMANDx and LIVECOMMANDx POST values to PHP exec() without an allowlist. Direct exploitation requires access to authenticated administration endpoints; injected commands run with the web-server account's operating-system permissions.
