Server file disclosure via run_sql SQL injection
Published Dec 22, 2025 · Updated Dec 22, 2025
SQL injection in Hasura GraphQL Engine 1.3.3 allows attackers to read server files through the run_sql query endpoint. The /v1/query endpoint accepts a bulk run_sql operation whose SQL invokes PostgreSQL pg_read_file(), returning requested file contents. The endpoint must be reachable and permitted to run SQL; disclosure is limited by the PostgreSQL server account's file-read access.
