Authentication bypass via unsanitized login identifier
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Jul 15, 2026
SQL injection in COMMAX Smart Home IoT Control System CDP-1020n and 481 System allows remote attackers to bypass authentication. The loginstart.asp handler uses the unsanitized id POST parameter in an SQL query, allowing injected SQL to alter the query's authentication result. An unauthenticated network request is sufficient, and successful exploitation grants unauthorized access to the smart-home control interface.
