Use of default credentials in COMMAX CVD-Axx DVR CVD-AH04 DVR 4.4.1 allows remote attackers to access its web control panel. The websetup.cgi handler accepts a POST request whose passkey parameter equals the factory value 1234, then returns the administrative interface. Network reachability alone is sufficient, and successful authentication exposes camera snapshots and RTSP video streams.
