Kernel crash via stale sata_fsl teardown read

Use-after-free in the Linux kernel sata_fsl driver allows local users to crash PPC64 systems by unloading its kernel module. sata_fsl_remove unmaps hcr_base and frees host_priv before ata_host_stop invokes sata_fsl_port_stop, which calls ioread32 through the stale mapping. Triggering the fault requires local privilege to remove sata_fsl.ko on a PPC64 system using the Freescale SATA driver; the demonstrated consequence is a kernel oops and service interruption.
