Service interruption via unreleased HID requests
Published Mar 15, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Memory leak in the Linux kernel amd_sfh driver in 5.11 through 5.12.9 allows local users to interrupt service through HID requests. The amd_sfh_work handler removes a processed request_list entry allocated through amd_sfh_get_report without freeing its memory. Reachability requires low-privileged local access and AMD Sensor Fusion Hub hardware; affected 5.13 release candidates are also exposed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
