CVE-2021-47130Network attack vector

Host crash via mismatched peer-memory SGL free

Published Mar 15, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2026

Denial of service in the NVMe target in Linux 5.8 through 5.10.42 and 5.11 through 5.12.9 allows remote attackers to crash the host via RDMA I/O. When the peer-to-peer memory pool is empty, nvmet_req_free_sgls retains p2p_dev and returns a fallback SGL to the wrong pool, invoking BUG(). Reachability requires an NVMe-over-Fabrics RDMA target configured for peer-to-peer memory; successful triggering interrupts the entire host.
