Kernel invalid memory access via freed buffer
Published Feb 28, 2024 · Updated Aug 5, 2026
Use-after-free in the Linux ZynqMP GQSPI driver allows attackers to trigger invalid kernel memory access through SPI operations. The zynqmp_qspi_exec_op path frees tmpbuf before later reading address and opcode data from that buffer instead of preserving those values in temporary variables. The published record does not identify an attacker-controlled input, required privilege, or outcome beyond a KASAN-detected invalid access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
