Device mapping failure via write-only entries

Improper permission handling in the Linux kernel's Intel VT-d IOMMU allows local users to cause device-mapping failures. __domain_mapping copies write permission into second-level page-table entries without also setting the PRESENT bit, accepting a write-only mapping that first-level translation cannot represent.
