Local kernel crash via misaligned retire callback

A denial of service in Linux kernel 5.8 through 5.13-rc1 allows local users to crash the kernel during i915 retire processing. The retire logic stores flags in the two low bits of a callback pointer even though auto_retire is not guaranteed to be four-byte aligned, so the worker jumps to the wrong address. Local access and an active i915 graphics path are required; the documented consequence is an invalid-opcode kernel crash.
