Packet hijacking via improper ICMP processing
Published Sep 20, 2022 · Updated May 28, 2025
Traffic hijacking in Huawei WS7200-10 11.0.2.13 allows attackers with LAN access to hijack packets via crafted ICMP messages. The router improperly processes malicious ICMP packets that an attacker sends to a victim, enabling interception of affected traffic. Exploitation requires access to the device within its LAN; Huawei reports packet hijacking but no code execution or device takeover.
