Memory corruption via overflowing GIF frame offset

Heap buffer overflow in GNOME GdkPixbuf before 2.42.8 allows attackers to corrupt memory via a specially crafted GIF file. The composite_frame function in io-gif-animation.c stores a signed 32-bit row-offset calculation in an int, allowing large frame dimensions to wrap the offset and direct pixel writes outside the heap buffer. A user or automated system must open or preview the file; demonstrated outcomes include an application crash, while the controllable overwrite creates code-execution potential, especially on 32-bit systems.
